Erin E. Gould, LLC, is a solo practitioner firm focused on civil litigation, business, and contract law. At Erin E. Gould, LLC, I practiced tort litigation, business law, contract law, and employment law.My practice included drafting complex litigation complaints and motion drafting, drafting and submitting entity formation paperwork with Oregon Secretary of State, I drafted an LLC operating agreement for a new start-up company, and drafted legal memoranda for senior attorney and clients. In addition to these tasks, I also participated in litigation depositions for a large complex tort case.

Karsten H. Rasmussen has been a judge with the Lane County Circuit Court since 1999 and Presiding Judge since 2012. He has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1983 and was a member of the Oregon State Senate from 1993 to 1995.Judge Rasmussen currently chairs the Chief Justice’s Court Re-Engineering and Efficiencies Workgroup. He is a member of the statewide managing panel for the Oregon Complex Litigation Court and co-creator and member of the 2nd Judicial District Commercial Court. He has adjudicated complex commercial matters in; personal injury, medical malpractice, land use, Indian gaming, mold, business, employment, and construction cases. He has held over 800 formal mediations including multi-million dollar settlements in major neonatal medical malpractice claims, products liability cases, and personal injury claims. Prior to joining the Circuit Court, he practiced civil litigation for 16 years throughout Oregon.As a Judicial Clerk for the Presiding Judge I manage and facilitate multiple court dockets and advise Judge Rasmussen on court proceedings, motion disposition, and complex legal issues. These tasks require a high degree of collaboration with local attorneys and court staff. During hearings and trials, I act as court reporter, bailiff, and clerk simultaneously to ensure that court proceedings are as smooth and painless as possible. While preparing court dockets, I have to collaborate with court staff and local attorneys to ensure that all persons involved are on the same page and ready to proceed. Lastly, I help advise the judge on court proceedings and motions before the court. This is accomplished by researching and preparing legal memoranda, writing court orders, and preparing necessary documents for issue disposition.

As a contract attorney for Markowitz Herbold I conducted e-discovery, utilizing summation for complex civil litigation. Additionally, I analyzed complex documents including emails, contracts, spreadsheets, and other technical business planning documents to determine if documents were responsive to discovery requests, confidential, or protected by privilege.

Judge Holland was elected to the Lane County bench in November, 1992. In addition to hearing all manner of civil and criminal cases, she is the Lane County Probate Judge and a member of the Lane County Commercial Court where she presides over complex civil litigation cases. She is also a member of the statewide Commercial Court.As a Judicial Clerk I assist the judge with various court proceedings, including bench and jury criminal and civil trials, marital dissolution hearings, petitions for child custody, Family Abuse Prevention Act (stalking and restraining order) hearings, oral motions, and probate matters. I also prepare necessary forms, orders, and documents pertaining to cases. Additionally, I process court documents. Lastly, I set up and ensure the efficient operation of the court room during all proceedings before Judge Holland.

Boender Litigation is the solo practice of Oregon attorney Bryan Boender. Mr. Boender's practice consists of providing high-quality criminal defense, civil litigation, and veterans rights services.At Boender Litigation I researched and prepared documentation for a commutation appeal, and compiled client documentation into a comprehensive file to facilitate efficient client representation. Additionally, I conducted legal research on various criminal law and evidentiary topics.

This research involved the development of new and better methods for the NCAA to interact with athletes in a more positive manner. To develop theses methods I researched the interaction of business law with the psychological theory of identity. By analyzing this interaction it is possible to identify weaknesses in the current NCAA model while providing valuable insights as to how the model may be improved.

The investment made in building business relationships not only helps fulfill the Port's public mission, but also benefits the region served by the Port.At the Port, I completed a full-time externship during the summer semester. I conducted legal research on various issues regarding Port operations. I researched areas such as the Clean Water Act, Aviation law, International Transactions with an emphasis on the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States, Tort law, Intellectual Property, and Corporate law. Additionally, I conducted contract and corporate policy reviews to ensure legal compliance.

This involved developing research studies and compiling and analyzing research data. The main focus of my research was to assess the relationship between visual contextual cues and a person’s rating on the autistic spectrum. Additionally, I participated in a team environment developing and testing many psychological theories in the realm of cognitive neuroscience.
