Creation of MID’s for vendormanufacturers ensure correct duty rates are applied, and identify additional potentialrequirements for other participating government agencies.- Responsible of departments from dinnerware, fragrance, textiles, and bath products hasgiven me a wealth of knowledge of the USHTS and CAHTS. I also have appointed severalbinding rulings to Customs and Border Protection that have filed rulings in favor of myopinions.- Developed Quick Reference Guides for responsible departments to easily identify likeproducts to ensure consistent and accurate classification. This includes USHTS and CAHTS,participating government agencies that is involved with tariff and product, testing protocols,ruling references to support the classification of all products held in responsible departments.- Provide constant correspondence and quarterly meetings with buyers, agents, and vendorsto assist in meeting regulatory compliance, tariff engineering, and packaging requirements.- Created test request forms for products and ensure products are tested in accordance withPier 1 Imports testing protocols and are in compliance with federal, state laws, and industrysafety standards.
