I lead the New Ireland internal audit team. My responsibilities include: • Development of the internal audit plan factoring in business priorities, the regulatory landscape, stakeholder feedback, risk coverage, mandatory assignments and cyclical (multi-year) coverage requirements;• Stakeholder management including working with the Company's senior management team: ○ to agree audit scopes and timing (balancing between maximising IA's value-add vs. minimising impact on the business), issues arising and resulting actions, paths forward when encountering competing business priorities, ○ attendance at key governance fora and if appropriate, raising IA's concerns at those fora or with the relevant stakeholder; ○ regular relationship management meetings to keep apprised of business developments, issues arising and any areas requiring IA review (incl. regular 1:1's with the Managing Director).• Attendance at Board Committees (Audit, Investment and Risk), including presenting & reporting to the Board Audit Committee on the results of IA's work, IA's future plans, our half-yearly opinion, providing our insights on management's ongoing projects, and any other updates;• Performance and people management responsibilities for the New Ireland audit team;• Divisional lead for IA's rollout of new Ways of Working (i.e. flexible and remote working options) and collaborating with various Group stakeholders on the rollout for the wider function.
