We offer several services to help people maximize their careers and improve their quality of life, all while creating a clear and positive return on the investment.

I lead the product management teams for the Cofense portfolio of products, which included a world class content generation team. Also a member of the senior leadership team.

We provide software development, development consulting and leadership and general IT leadership services on a contract basis.

My primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and implementation of product initiatives across IT Cadre’s lines of businesses including Technology Solutions and Resiliency Services. In addition to serving in the role of product strategist, I am also a resource on key client engagements, leveraging my management, technical and development backgrounds.

AlisonWeb was created to help manage the companies that I helped start and provide seed investment for. SharedStatus LLC - a SaaS product for helping small teams collaborate on tasks and projects was the first company. The second company was Just Donated, Inc., which was sold in 2010.

I was the original founder of WebSurveyor Corporation, which I started in my basement in May of 1998. Over time I added two partners (Tom Lueker and Bruce Mancinelli), we got some angel funding and over time hit the Inc 500 list twice, hired some amazing people and built some outstanding products. In June of 2006 we sold WebSurveyor to Austin Ventures which also acquired a competitor of ours: Perseus Development Corporation. I was asked to stay on as CTO of the newly combined entity and oversee the integration of the two companies, which I did until October of 2007. The name of the company was changed to Vovici in mid 2007.During the course of my time at WebSurveyor / Vovici I was involved in all aspects of building up the business, though my focus was primarily on the development, hosting operations, internal IT and product support.I did hands on development in Delphi (object pascal), VB Script, Javascript and various web technologies. I designed and built Windows client applications and IIS server solutions.As we evolved the product line, we also evolved our development process, moving from a waterfall method to a SCRUM and Agile model.Our hosting environment was built on the Microsoft platform and over my tenure we evolved from a tiny managed hosting solution to procuring racks in a collocation center and building out our hardware and managing it with an internal operations center.I spoke at various conferences about survey tools and practices and blogged about the products and company.

Managed development teams ranging from individual developers through teams of up to 6 engineers. Senior technical member of the management staff. Managed external contract resources for artwork de- velopment. Attended and presented at numerous company wide technology conferences.Development member for large scale, high volume web based systems. Key development member of a tax research system, application architect for an insurance oriented forms management system, user interface designer for a large scale legal research system.Rapidly developed early prototypes of various information publishing systems in Windows and HTML environments. Developed CGI web solutions using C++ for Windows and Unix platforms and full proto- type systems using Windows NT, IIS and ISAPI development tools. Utilized working prototypes to refine development requirements and marketing strategy. Leveraged usability studies and focus groups to ensure products were properly defined and designed.

Managed an internal staff of 17 (4 direct reports) spread over Reston, Atlanta and London. Provided technology services and operation support including LAN/WAN systems, end-user help desks and office automation applications. Hired 70% of the IT staff. Created budgets, chaired technology briefings to senior management, developed and maintained project plans and schedules.Developed workgroup and systems architecture for all Concert offices. Specified and rolled out process automation solutions utilizing MS Mail/MAPI and E-Forms. Worked with Product Development to specify new products and services for messaging and telephony application markets. Designed, developed and managed the roll-out of a mail and telephony enabled visual employee directory system. Utilized Visual C++/MFC 2.5, Visual Basic and Borland Delphi development environments.

Managed the development of two commercial products; a screen saver for DOS and the Norton Laptop Utilities, a suite of programs specifically for laptop use. Supervised the development and quality assurance teams and coordinated documentation and technical support issues. Developed and maintained budgets and resource schedules. Worked with the marketing team to define feature sets. Wrote code for key por- tions of the applications. Developed in C/C++ in a Windows environment.User interface architect for all of the Norton products, developing interface designs for the Windows ver- sions of Norton Utilities, Norton Desktop for Windows, PCAnywhere, Norton Utilities for Mac and other Symantec products. Responsible for protyping designs, resolving usability test results and developing code libraries for interface controls on the Windows platform.
