Whilst employed by Western mining I was privileged to be involved daily in all survey aspects of the mine expansion works. Apart from my day to day duties I instigated and developed a laser alignment system prototype for the mine drilling rigs as a research and development project. This system improved the quality of the drilling pattern resulting in less burden material and productivity gains.
