Contract environmental engineer with the City of Portland and the longest standing Engineering Technician for the novel CBWTP RNG Facility (3 years). Providing experienced advice on various construction plans pertaining to the project, including the implementation of a High Pressure Air (HPA) system and other related processes. Processing/creating construction documents such as Change Orders, Submittal's and Proposal Requests to allow for alterations of the contract to be changed in an appropriate manner, creating a better final result for the client, as well as the environment. I have been involved with the communication between the owner's representative, the contractor and other applicable project participants. The job duties also include compiling comprehensive action items and finalized decisions from pertinent discussions with the contractors, vendors, governing City bodies, etc.

To prepare rock samples in a sterile and contamination free laboratory which are examined for XRF Chemical Analysis. The position also requires me to review and draft documents to update the lab manager and the Associate Professor leading the research. I have been able to maintain a high quality, sample preparation which lowers risk for contamination and incorrect data readings in the samples analysis. I showcase my leadership and critical thinking abilities through implementing new processes, procedures and tool designs while also adhering to the complex and strict lab guidelines to make safety the main priority.

As an Environmental Intern at the Delhi WWTP (waste water treatment plant) I would perform profession surface water collection and monitoring techniques. I would go to Township drains, and rivers to collect water samples, test for the temperature of the water, pH and Dissolved Oxygen. While at the collection site, air temperature, weather conditions and exact location were tracked. These samples were then taken to the laboratory at the WWTP and test for various contaminations, including: phosphorus, nitrates, E. coli, Chemical Oxygen Demand and dissolved solids. A detailed report was constructed comparing the results for each collection point and discussing the reasoning behind different results and therefore their sources.

Mto Wa Mbu, Tanzania

Conducted research regarding the sustainable access to water and the water quality of an indigenous people in the northern region of Tanzania. First, a survey was created and given to a portion of the villages population to learn about water usage habits as well as how they access their water. After becoming acquainted with the residents, samples were collected from their local water sources and their homes. These samples were then tested for contaminates such as nitrate and nitrite levels, phosphorus, alkalinity and E. coli. The results from the homes were then cross examined with the results from the sources to find out where contaminations began. A highly detailed report on the subject was drafted once all data was collected. This report was presented at multiple scientific conferences including UURAF and ESPP Symposium. Education on proper hand washing techniques and sanitation was completed at the local primary school.
