For your communication to be successful, you need to understand the WHY and the WHAT. That is one of my strengths - an understanding of both the strategy and the message itself. There are six strings to my bow:Workshops and training. I hold workshops on a range of topics (see below). These workshops are dynamic and hands-on and each participant at my workshops leaves with a clear direction on how to implement what they have just heard.Video production and marketing. In partnership with great visual artists, I can develop video to use in marketing, internal communication, social media or in-house viewing.Web writing. I have provided content and creative input for more than 1500 web sites over a writing career spanning 20 years. My content allows my clients to engage with their audiences – as opposed to some writers who have drifted onto the web and apply print thinking to digital delivery. Social media. It is often my approach to social media that wins clients. I use social media in a strategic way and don’t advise businesses to upload their whole consciousness to Facebook. My work isn’t about fans, friends or hits – it is about using these tools to reduce expenses, increase repeat business or find new markets. Communication strategy. Strategy underpins any successful communications. It’s more than just creative, it needs to hit the right target in the right way. My strategic experience extends to developing strategy for campaigns and companies over 20 years – from non-profits, through to government and the corporate sector. It extends from large strategies across whole-of-organisation to specific campaign development.Copywriting and creative development. In both my internal and external roles, I have spent my career developing copy and creative for campaigns and a range of communication tools.
