During a social meeting with the director of Ewayt here in Suzhou, I was able to offer suggestions to improve market penetration into Europe and the USA. The suggestions were considered useful, and I was offered a consultancy position. I was involved in assisting the Marketing department, including appearing in their marketing videos and photo-shoots. The most satisfying and rewarding achievement was my being instrumental in assisting them with reopening their account at Amazon, by no means an easy feat, by answering in concise and accurate detail Amazon's questions about how the issues arose and what steps would be taken to ensure how they would't be repeated. This involved rapidly establishing the sequence of events and offering the company suggestions to restructure their teams and processes to trap potential errors and issues at an early stage, with efficient documentation to record and track decisions. The processes and report were accepted by Amazon and their substantial account reopened. I left when I moved to Beijing to pursue film and TV work in China.

As academic support manager, I offer training and academic support to the three schools, with responsibility for foreign teacher recruitment, and training of new foreign and local teachers. I oversee the National Academic Training Program across Suzhou. I have a host of IT skills and, aside from coding my own website in HTML, have written and maintained the company's website for showcasing the city, school and staff, using both HTML and a little PHP. I also designed, tested, and launched a country-wide forum for academic managers. I'm also involved in a pilot iPad project in school, responsible for setting up, problem solving, training, support, and implementation; with feedback to head office. Secondary roles include support for the Centre Directors in academic matters, training and improvement of sales conversions from academic activities, and cross-function support in academic matters for service, sales, HR, and marketing.

As Senior academic manage focus on academic quality through better recruitment procedures, continuing professional development, and improving cross-function cooperation. I have an awareness and interest in the whole business and have identified leakage in sales and service procedures through lack of training and experience, with immediate remedies and resultant increase in profit to the company. I am involved in cross-function training and developing standard operating procedures that work locally, and still align to the corporate standards of the wider EF company. Recently I have been promoted to senior academic manager of the two existing schools, and our new third school. Because of my personal interest and experience with computer technology, I am involved in the testing and implementation of new in-class technology in our new school; working closely with the development team on testing and feedback. We intend to make EF Suzhou the best private language school in the city.
