I can bridge the gap between the creative and data-driven sides of the entertainment industry by implementing data-driven analytic initiatives across the creative and financial spheres of major media companies. I have recently finished a Master of Science program in Business Analytics at the University of Rochester, where I acquired strong data analytics and business communication skills.My undergraduate education focused on political economy, where I studied how people behave around money, how people behave in various power structures, and how economic theories help inform efficient crafting of public policy. I have used R Studio, Stata, and Excel in my econometrics classes to craft cogent, data-driven arguments.I most recently worked in talent management where I gained practical experience in the entertainment industry, building on previous experience in script development and creative production. I assisted two talent managers at Untitled Entertainment – one of the largest talent management companies in Hollywood—making calls, writing emails, scheduling meetings, reading scripts, meeting clients, and generally kept things running as smoothly as possible for both managers and clients. I helped coordinate contract negotiations between TV stars and networks. I edited actors’ videotaped auditions before sending them to casting directors. I made contacts in all sides of the entertainment industry in preparation for an eventual jump to a larger planning role with a studio, network, or production company.
