After turning 29 I hit a ceiling. COVID-19 derailed my move to New York City and I foresaw my career in the food industry would dead-end. I didn't want that to happen, so I made the jump. I would finish my college education.In June 2021. While still working full-time, I enrolled in to finish my bachelor’s degree . The prospect was daunting, even already having more than two years of school under my belt. It would take diligence and time management skills to succeed.As I move forward, new challenges arise. Mental fatigue became the main stressor, so I had to approach my work strategically. I was accountable for all of the work, so remaining organized to ensure I met every deadline was a must.Although my journey has just begun, the entire process taught me more about dedication than nearly every other experience. It has showed me the benefits of taking risks, as, while it was difficult, I am certain it will be a journey worth taking in the end.
