In line with our ISO 17100 certification, I developed the internal terminology process, from term base conceptualization to final term validation, including category selection based on ISO 12620 data categories, end users, corpus selection, term extraction, term validation process, etc.Having managed terminologists in over 15 languages, I have realized the several distinct challenges multilingual terminology poses.Over the last decade, I have completed a Masters in terminology and a Certified Terminology Manager designation to further my knowledge of terminology, and better serve our company.I implemented tools to provide clients with access to their terms and relevant information: migration from SDL TM Server to memoQ Server for a new generation translation environment, migration from Plunet Business Manager to XTRF including dynamic connector to memoQ for full TMS capabilities, a terminology management system, various content connectors, online customer validation system, online desktop publishing tools and a quality management system.One key responsibility I have is to ensure customer satisfaction. To achieve this, great care is given when explaining our solutions, their purpose, their cost and expected result.
