    As the Founder of Salts of the Earth and person responsible for introducing salt therapy to Australia, I was faced with many challenges. These challenges extended from the day to day challenges of starting a new business, to the challenges of starting a new industry in Australia. Education was our main objective. I introduced salt therapy to Australia after seeing the effects the therapy had on my father. Salt therapy is a natural complementary therapy that helps relieve symptoms of both respiratory and skin conditions. People sit in specially designed rooms and breathe in dry salt aerosol. Shortly after developing strong unit economics for our first centre, we opened a second after six months. Upon the success of our second centre we commenced franchising in 2011.
