Senior Business Analyst
I served in a rapid-development group, managing six different software development teams throughout my tenure, to take the products from the idea stage, to an operating global release. The predominately offshore teams I managed ranged in size from five to eighteen members. The development projects lasted from a few months, to a few years. Two of those products are still in development, three are released and currently working, and one was terminated due to changing focus by the business leadership. Two of those released products are used by thousands of users around the world.I led, through a matrixed organization, the overall relationship between the audit accounting business and the software developers. One of my delivered products, which I led in every single release, is currently saving the company millions of dollars by automating many of the manual tasks that the auditors had to perform, and clarifying the audit decision points so that the users can concentrate on the higher-level thinking tasks.Using agile scrum development, I gathered the requirements, documented them, presented the requirements to the developers, managed the projects and participated in certifying that the work was completed and installed. I also wrote much of the user documentation and user testing scripts, and made sure that the product was released successfully. I was the knowledgeable voice that others inside and outside my team would rely on to provide feedback on their current processes, and what might be improved with it.One of my strengths is the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in written or verbal interactions to both small and large groups. I am very comfortable presenting in front of groups and have the ability to lift people from the technical minutia of their daily tasks to focus on the key tasks involved in creating substantial overall business value through automation.
