Since graduating from the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) with a Paralegal Certificate, I immediately found work at the firm Reed Smith. I was a Temporary Paralegal there for as long as the cases that I was assigned to were active.At CCP I studied Civil Litigation, Legal Research and Writing, EDiscovery, Legal Technology, Tort Law, Employment Law, and Wills, Trusts & Estate Admin Law.CurrentlyI am looking for any Paralegal or Legal Assistant position in the Center City area, and would consider a position in legal services, a law firm, government services, media company, or non profit organization.Before I went back to school, I worked first for an American Orange Juice company before spending about three years in the environment field. I left the latter when I realized that due to my background I wouldn't be able to likely have a long term career in it. I then decided that with the skills that I had, that the Paralegal world would be a better fit.Of the work I have done, I have found that I like editing, proofreading, researching and analysis on a variety of subjects the most. The career areas that I am most drawn to now are the publishing, education and library world, where those skills can be easily used. Due to that recognition I am for the moment looking for a career in that area.
