Workforce Strategy Program Manager
CurrentPartners with General Managers and Human Resources at multiple distribution sites, dispersed across the eastern United States and Canada, to assess hiring needs and develop a strategic approach to recruiting and retaining contingent labor talent. Initiates new and fosters existing external networks with staffing providers, workforce boards, professional organizations, and colleges to maintain an available contingent labor talent stream. Possesses a working Knowledge of responsibilities and skills required for basic hourly warehouse functions and the ability to accurately communicate needs by developing and managing programs to:• Develop relationships with Staffing Suppliers and coordinate onsite activities between suppliers and operational leaders.• Monitor and manage the requisition and submittal process of contingent labor.• Monitor Staffing Supplier performance and communicate any performance issues. • Assist in Staffing Supplier compliance audits and the development of action plans to address gaps.• Escalate concerns around network supplier coverage capabilities and assist in evaluating additional suppliers. • Assist in the coordination of the Quarterly Business Reviews and activities that continue to foster a strategic partnership.• Monitor turnover and gather feedback from staffing suppliers that will help operations improve the employee experience. • Develop and facilitate training around Program Best Practices, Goals, and systems for new leaders and staffing suppliers.• Research and educate leaders on market trends through gathering insights from suppliers, local workforce board contacts, and other professional networks. • Assist operations in activities related to annual goals such as turnover, temp ratio, and talent development.• Proactively generate and drive continuous improvement to ensure quality, speed, efficiency and/or reduce cost. • Identify events and partnerships in major markets for NFI to build brand awareness.
