I am a retired US Naval officer with over 20 years of leadership and management experience in the surface combatant and submarine communities, as well as in the civilian nuclear power industry. I have led teams of technicians and supervisors on operational nuclear powered aircraft carriers, submarines, shore based naval training commands, and in the private sector.In my current role, I utilize expertise gained as a previous submarine Weapons Officer to provide engineering safety reviews and design input for construction and modification of Virginia Class submarine weapons systems. Previously, I led a team of engineers, facilities maintenance personnel, construction supervisors, work coordinators, and planners at Dominion Energy's Millstone Nuclear Power Station. I have independently managed organizations with up to 115 direct reports.Colleagues know me as a reliable, professional leader, a trusted mentor, and a valuable team member. I spend time working on interpersonal relationships and team dynamics, always trying to promote mission integration by every team member. I work very well with others and can collaborate effectively in any team but can also work efficiently and productively alone with no supervision. I have a MS from Duke University in Engineering Management, a BS from The Citadel in Civil Engineering and a BS from Thomas Edison State University in Nuclear Engineering Technology. I am a graduate of Naval Nuclear Power School, an Engineer in Training (EIT) in the state of South Carolina, and a certified US Navy Master Training Specialist.
