We designed, implemented, deployed and delivered integrations with corporative applications and also contributed some core functionalities to the community.Personally, I got highly involved on open source and I must said that was one of the best challenges I've achieved in my life. In fact, I was awarded by the Sakai Foundation in 2012 because of my work, involvement and efforts improving and disseminating Sakai.I had the chance to work with teams spread worldwide, with different ways of doing things and think and this made me grow up, both from professional and personal point of view.My main responsibilities were:• Review periodically JIRA (bugtracking system) to verify if fixes provided to more recent Sakai versions are applicable to PoliformaT (https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/PROD-147) and, if this is the case, plan and execute the adaptation. This includes specially security reviews.• Meet regularly with User Support staff to track issues opened by Web Applications Managed by UPV IT Area users.• Meet regularly with instructors to check what their expectations are and gather their requirements for existing/new applications and services.• Manage development team (1 senior programmer and 2 fellows) and report directly to UPV IT Area staff. On that time, I was very interested at Genomics and I found out Jalview during one of my studies.
