Provide consulting and system build and implementation support for several General Electric businesses reporting to GE Infrastructure including Aviation, Rail, and Energy. Provide senior leadership and direction for an Intel Engineering staff in the formation of this new entity. Assist in the design of a consolidated Data Center and operations for this large health care organization with over a dozen separate regional Data Centers. Responsible for the management and administration of over 1,200 Intel Servers, and 500 mission critical systems. Major Accomplishments:Develop standards for Windows NT, 2000/2003 server, and Citrix Metaframe systems design, installation and implementation. Design and implement N'Fuse web portals in a Windows 2000 Advanced Server cluster.Improve WAN access to mission critical applications through the design and implementation of a large Citrix Metaframe XP Farm (100 servers) utilizing a Metaframe Secure Access Manager front end.Design and implement standards for Active Directory and virtual hosting on VMWare.

Responsible for all Local Area Network and Wide Area Network operations for this 300 seat medium sized health care company. Implement and maintain all data center operations, including NT Server Domain, Linux mail and firewall, remote access through RAS and Citrix Metaframe, and all switches, routers and hubs. Create and communicate IS policy as needed.Major Accomplishments:Re-designed the entire network infrastructure to enable process efficiencies in the data center, and allow for faster data access to end-users. Initiated project to review and analyze all current access for remote facilities looking to implement a cohesive strategy incorporating current broadband capabilities and Virtual Private Networking.Reviewed, analyzed and implemented new firewall and security device technologies and revamped the security infrastructure saving the company thousands and providing greater data security and compliance with HIPAA standards.

Responsible for the daily maintenance of the server infrastructure, including hardware and operating systems (Unix, NT/2000, Solaris, and Novell). Manage daily support for six remote distribution centers, and their access to mission critical applications hosted at the corporate office.Major Accomplishments:Implemented a Citrix Server Farm which hosted all needed applications for remote employees. Enabled all functionality available to local network clients through the Citrix solution.Developed and implemented a remote support process for distribution centers that served the needs of the remote clients, and saved the company from contracting with a third party to provide this support.Configured and documented the process for running PeopleSoft over Citrix servers to allow access to PeopleSoft for remote clients. The documentation has now been used by many other companies that face the task of allowing access to PeopleSoft functions from remote locations.Created and implemented PeopleSoft application security policies and used online documents and workflow technology to automatically route new system access requests to the appropriate resources.
