In my second rotation within the Graduate Development Program, I was placed within the Supply Chain and Procurement team in Sudbury, ON.Some key responsibilities in this role included:- Forecasting product usage and ordering product for multiple sites- Working with transportation management to arrange rail and road carriage of product- Completing customs paperwork for product crossing the US-Canada border- In depth work within Orica's SAP system 4S- Working with external vendors and service providers- Ensuring accurate billing and bill payment

In my first rotation within the Orica Graduate Development Program, I was working with the Sudbury Bulk Underground group. Responsibilities included:- Accompanying underground bulk technicians to customers’ sites across Northern Ontario to assist in maintaining Orica underground bulk units. - Adhering to all safety rules and regulations set out by Orica and our customers- Decontaminating bulk units for travel- Inventory management- Miscellaneous shop projects

While working for Tahoe (now Pan American Silver), I had the opportunity to work in many different departments of the Technical Services team. Some projects that I regularly worked on include:-Underground survey work (line and grades, CMS scans, pickups, longhole markups, development markups, diamond drill hole pickups, raise markups)-Geotechnical inspections-Life of mine ore body reserve definition and development planning-General work within AutoCad and AMINE-Preparation of stope reconciliation reports-Preparation of paste and rock fill packages-Stope production and cable bolt drilling design and drill book preparation-Daily reportingI completed my Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core at Timmins West and was trained and signed off on operating an underground man-carrier at both Timmins West and Bell Creek. I spent the first 14 months of my internship working at Timmins West, and the final 2 at Bell Creek.

During my second summer internship with ConeTec, I was responsible for operating software and managing instrumentation on a geotechnical drilling and testing rig on numerous sites across BC and Northern Alberta. While working as a field technician, I aided in completing cone penetration tests, seismic cone penetration tests, UVIF cone penetration test, vane shear strength testing, SPTe testing, DCPT testing, auger sampling and direct-push soil sampling, among other tests. After testing was complete, I was responsible for consolidating data and sending it to the office for analysis and completing a field summary of the day's work. I was also an assistant to the rig operator when instrumentation was not needed for the specific test being conducted, such as auger sampling.

During my first summer internship with ConeTec, I was responsible for receiving and managing ground-condition data as collected by a number of geotechnical tests, and interpreting this data as quantifiable engineering design parameters. Tests analyzed including cone penetration testing, seismic cone penetration testing, and vane shear strength testing.
