David is a Senior Associate within Milbank's award winning Global Transportation and Space Group. Based in the Singapore office and working closely with the London team, David specialises in multifaceted high value, cross border financing, leasing, trading and structured transactions involving aircraft, vessels and other transportation assets.David acts for financiers, equity investors, leasing companies, operators and export credit agencies primarily on aircraft backed international finance and leasing transactions. He also advises on acquisitions and disposals of assets and asset portfolios.His experience encompasses a variety of leveraged debt, capital markets and leasing transactions and includes pre-delivery financings, Japanese operating leases, French tax leases, Islamic financings and transactions involving export credit agencies.As well as advising on the structuring and execution of such transactions, he also has recent experience of advising lenders, finance lessors and operating lessors on restructurings both of airlines and leasing companies. David was seconded to a large international aviation leasing company based in Ireland in 2019.
