I have been in the commercial construction industry for over 25 years. I started my career in California as a carpenter working for my parents commercial construction company at 17 and quickly advanced to superintendent then to project manager. During my tenure with them I was taught all sides of the business from accounting and book keeping to project management and estimating. I would say that experience gave me valuable insight into aspects of the business most PM’s and Superintendents are not privy to on the financial and legal exposure end. Over 10 years ago I moved to Texas and I continue my career in commercial construction here to this day. Most of my immediate family is involved in the construction industry in one facet or another. I personally grew up on construction sites with my father starting before I could even walk. I guess you could say its in my blood. I have managed commercial projects up $20 million. Over the course of my career I have overseen the building of a wide range of diverse projects including k-12, churches, tech, hospitality, multi-family, retail, hospital, restaurants, medical, tilt-wall, multi-story, high security, government, research facilities. I find the industry exciting. Its afforded me the opportunity to build some very unique structures and facilities for some equally unique clients such as Lockheed Martin, NASA, Stanford, The Catholic Diocese and more.
