As a founder and lead technical expert I have pushed the development of a novel 3D print injection mold tooling production system to industry pilot trials. The system is able to reduce the time to production by about 80% and the costs by about 60%. It allows for much more agile and iterative tooling development, with much faster turn around time in development, and can handle up to small series production. Co-supervised several Master and PhD theses, and I have been a big driver behind the team’s proposal writing team effort. This works is highly interdisciplinary and spans material science, chemistry and physics in wood, fiber, nanocellulose and polymer materials.
