Manufacturing EngineerWright Flow Technologies Jan 2018 - Oct 2020• Responsible for the entry of bill of materials and motorized general arrangements. Production support including tooling, fixturing, and restructuring procedures, within this I redesigned and streamlined the process for documenting drawing changes and updates. The response time for engineering processes reduced from over a month to less than seven days.• Involved in a larger group project aimed to prove an overhaul of the current manufacturing methods to build bulk order pumps would significantly improve. We increased the output factor of three by using assembly cells.• Redesign of rotor wing profile following customer complaints of excessive cavitation and noise. This required FEA analysis to ensure the strength of the design up to 31bar. Testing and manufacture of prototypes for result comparison.• Regularly dealt with suppliers including site visits to help understand manufacturing issues and liaise with the relevant people to remove roadblocks. I found alternative suppliers when existing ones became unable to fulfil supply demands, checking for quality and reliability before committing to manufacture.• Organized and managed company involvement in the Young Engineers Challenge, designing models and packs for children aged 8-11 making sure all objectives were suitable for their age group.
