David Chait is an entrepreneurial financial professional with board-level expertise and deep experience encompassing structured finance, venture capital, risk management, and building early-stage companies primarily in the consumer and technology sectors. David currently serves as Cofounder and Principal of Lighthouse 22 Capital Advisors LLC, a boutique advisory firm providing financial and strategic corporate advisory services to early stage companies primarily in the energy transition, consumer and financial services sectors.David is an active investor in private companies and currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Spärkel Beverage Systems, developer of an innovative carbonated beverage appliance that enables users to create naturally infused drinks without a CO2 tank, HEVO, a pioneering technology company establishing itself as the global leader in wireless charging of electric vehicles, and Loud-Hailer, a technology company offering a patented mesh networking communications platform enabling hyperlocal engagement. Prior to cofounding Lighthouse 22, David ran Syncora Guarantee’s corporate venture capital group, where he executed growth stage fintech investments and served on the boards of two portfolio companies. While at Syncora, David also served as Head of Structured Finance Surveillance, responsible for over $40 billion of par exposure across a wide range of structured credit products and asset backed securities. Prior to Syncora, David spent five years at Swiss Re executing credit derivative transactions with the company’s leading financial services clients. David started his career at KPMG in the investment company tax practice and earned his CPA license. David holds both an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
