I started my writing career for The Onion, a short-lived Maltese arts and culture magazine, where I contributed cinema, theatre and television reviews. I have written on a varied range of topics, including (but not limited to): architecture, literature, religion, sustainability and Valentine’s day, and my work has been featured on Homeworks, VAMP, Manic!, The Insiter, Pjazza and MaltaNow.

Malta

Throughout my time at The Times, I interviewed everyone from prime ministers to gangsta rappers and covered some of the major stories of the day, including the Libyan crisis.

Taught English as a foreign language to teenagers and adults from various backgrounds. Due to ever-changing groups, the job required a fair amount of flexibility and creativity.

My role as a video editor was to take raw footage, select and add appropriate music and voiceovers and produce television features up to broadcast standard.I also contributed a number of scripts in Maltese for some of the company’s productions.
