Integration Design Engineer – Rocket Motor Assembly* For Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, created new and revised RMA designs by 3D CAD modeling (NX), and working with design release colleagues to drive the product to completion. * For D5 program, created revised detail part design releases for the Navy's Trident II modernization effort. Also, focused on mission assurance by creating and peer reviewing DFMECA's, ensuring all failure modes are addressed and mitigated against for rocket motor design and definition.* Researched and wrote a contractually-required report for impact damage prevention assurance for the Ground Based Strategic Defense (GBSD/Sentinel) program.* Coordinated and lead the effort to update and revise CPS shipping kit designs to better support the LM customer's needs in missile integration.

Design Engineer/Lead – Thrust Reverser A320neo, CSeries, MRJ, & Dassault Falcon 6X* Lead designer of complex metallic primary beam structures for the Internal Fixed Structure of the T/R for three commercial aircraft programs. Directed small team of designers to solve problems; integrate design to support structural and systems requirements. * Lead integration efforts on T/R latches, ensuring supplier met requirements for aerosmoothness, open visibility, static and fatigue strength, etc. Ensure rigging features were properly integrated into the beam subcomponents for successful and efficient aircraft operation. * Composite design of several large loft-driven thrust reverser components for the fixed structure for MRJ & CSeries. Coordinated with lay-up tooling designer, stress, and interfacing component designers. About 10,000 hrs. on CATIA v5, with several hundred hours on FiberSim.

Design Integration Engineer - Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle*Design integration on Ares I-X Flight Test Vehicle Systems Tunnel. Coordinated design integration between mechanical, cable routing, pyrotechnic, and thermal protection system components. Maximized usage of heritage Space Shuttle parts into new rocket design per customer requirements. Also, developed key avionics brackets to route and protect cabling, and reduce EMI effects. Approximately 1,000 hrs on I-DEAS v13.*Design integration on Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle Systems Tunnel. Focused on developing integrated designs to solve problems and not by simply adding parts. Coordinated design concepts between internal, NASA, and vendor organizations with competing requirements for the mutual benefit of all parties. Approximately 1,600 hrs on UG NX v6.

Design Engineer – F-35 Skins & Panels* Designed composite skins & panels using CATIA v5 and FiberSim for all three F 35 variants. Created installations for panel fasteners and very large assemblies. Coordinated with substructure designers, stress, materials, and other teams. Completed Phase II and Production designs on time, while ensuring that program systems engineering requirements were met.* Aircraft assembly liaison/design support for MRB at Palmdale Manufacturing Center. Coordinated design considerations on nonconforming hardware. Created repairs for aircraft structure due to load changes. Coordinated with substructure design and stress to verify proper hardware configuration. Also used FiberSim to create Mylar drilling templates to support manufacturing.* Advanced knowledge of PDM as a tool for design collaboration. Also, audited PDM for ITAR issues. About 2,000 hrs on CATIA v5. Also, several hundred hours on FiberSim.

JT3 (Joint Training, Testing & Tactics) via the J-TECH contract is responsible for many test & training programs at range facilities and services at Edwards AFBStructures Flight Test Engineer – F-22 Combined Test Force* Lead weapon bay and multiple subsystems loads monitoring and analysis in real-time during F-22 envelope expansion flight testing at mission control room on highly specialized displays. Also conducted in-depth post-flight analysis of aircraft loads. Programmed loads equations, envelopes, load limits, etc. into loads monitoring software (IADS), both during flight and in preparation for testing.* Troubleshooting data validity in real-time to determine safety of flight, determining if anomalous readings were due to aircraft hardware failure or faulty instrumentation. Prepared for specialized testing by coordinating and verifying specific data requirements with instrumentation and appropriate IPT members.

Integrated Product Team Leader & Design Engineer – F-22 AMNS* Leader of lean & technically diverse IPT responsible for aircraft mounted nozzle sidewall (AMNS) of F-22 Fighter program. On-going efforts to mature the product and program from development to full production. Lead major effort to redesign existing hardware to reduce cost, improve producibility and improve quality.* Developed requirements and maintenance of low observable features of F-22 nozzle component, including materials, processes, fasteners, coatings, edge treatments, etc. Also, aided in field survey to assess LO coating and edge degradation of aircraft installed components. * Spearheaded Qualification Testing for F-22 AMNS. Coordinated test schedules with both internal test organization and customer representatives. Controlled the overhaul and maintenance of test articles as required to help understand effects of testing and ensure successful completion of qualification. Wrote, took photos, and published entire qualification test report.

Manufacturing Engineer - Lean Distribution & 767-400ER Program* Presented powerful lean change concepts to reluctant coworkers and helped to foster an environment of cooperation to maintain the momentum of the Lean Manufacturing company initiative. Also, measured, analyzed, and implemented pilot process improvements for parts handling on 767 Final Body Join.
