My role is to expand the Ascend Hotel Collection, which is recognized as the hotel industry’s first “soft brand” concept, and is now a global, upscale portfolio of more than 200 open & operating independent hotels and resorts that are unique, boutique, or historic. Field-based, Director of Development responsible for the prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing of new long-term franchise agreements for Choice Hotels’ signature, limited-service brands: Comfort Suites, Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, and Dual Brand Sleep Inn/MainStay Suites concept. During this time, I gained franchise development responsibility for the Company’s extended-stay brands: MainStay Suites and Suburban Extended Stay.
