It happened in Naples, Italy…I started down the path that led me to my passion for cross-cultural selling. I was riding on a crowded train, thinking I was in a car with family traveling together; talking, yelling, hugging, and laughing like they had known each other for years. As the ride continued and people came and went, I realized that the "family" were actually strangers. That moment of awareness of the people who lived and communicated so differently than myself changed me dramatically. Working in the technology industry has given me the opportunity to experience several new cultures in many different ways. I have learned new communication skills as I worked with some of the world's best companies while helping them grow their businesses. I have crafted solutions, sold those ideas, and helped to implement those changes from Sydney to Toronto to Sao Paulo. As a bonus, I have been privileged to help many others see the world via our travel business, Travel Far Better. These experiences make me more effective whether I am helping giant governmental organizations deliver more for their citizens, assisting financial institutions in providing a better experience for their customers, or ensuring I deliver the best experience possible to each of my clients. This has allowed me to discover how to celebrate our differences and appreciate how much we really are the same across the globe.I now have the pleasure of focusing on how BMC Software's clients can leverage their mainframe platform to achieve even more.
