Worked on a greenfield project to provide a centralised source for Market Data within Gazprom Marketing & Trading. Phase I of the project was completed on time and on budget and delivered significant performance improvements to allow Front Office and Market Risk traders to access and amend data at sub-second speeds. Working within the Core team, I led the development team working on a major project to replace the access and entitlement system used by all websites within the company. The new system has already been rolled out to multiple high-traffic sites.The system was developed using C#, ASP.NET, WCF, and .NET 3.5. I was involved in the project from inception and requirements gathering, design and architecture, through to delivery. I was involved in the process of moving to Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0, and transitioning our services to be exposed via RESTful endpoints and adopting SOA principles.Aside from development activities, my responsibilities included leading and managing a team of 7 developers, performing Scrum Master duties, and mentoring members of the team. I led several initiatives, including the adoption of pair programming, TDD, and implementation of Kanban.
