Manager of a large, geographically dispersed, team of IT professionals responsible for support and development/integration of a diverse portfolio of store systems and customer-facing retail technology for seven banners and over 1,700 stores. Work with the business as Business Relationship Manager and with IT as Service Owner, providing an ongoing dialogue for system stability and improvement/innovation. Responsible for budget development and maintenance, vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, personnel training and development, and rolling three-year strategy creation and execution. Management of various projects ranging from enterprise wide to piloting of new technologies and work processes. Provide leadership, direction and support to a team of associates within the Retail Systems Department from Maine to Florida.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain plans for each associate relative to professional skills training, career development, resource planning and performance management. Work with IT infrastructure and operations to direct resources to ensure that both projects and support activities have no roadblocks and proper open communication is always flowing.Develop, integrate and implement computer applications and retail technology infrastructure that supports the vision and strategies of Delhaize America's business environment. Work collaboratively with other IT leaders and key business contacts to the extent that resources are utilized in the most effective and efficient manner.Work collaboratively with key business areas to create and closely monitor Retail IT Capital Budgets and the Retail Systems Operating results.Develop and maintain effective relationships with qualified vendors and companies capable of providing and supporting Retail software applications.
