David has thirty-five years in the petroleum industry, currently he has ten years with KUFPEC initially as a Commercial and Economics Advisor, now as an Acquisitions and Divestment Advisor responsible for transaction project management and analysis in the Business Development Unit in Kuwait.He is an expert in investment analysis, business planning and portfolio modelling; experienced in acquisition management and evaluation and also an expert in LNG and Asian gas markets and analysis. He is also recognised as a specialist in value based risk analysis and strategy by applying various conventional, probabilistic valuation and decision analysis techniques. Previously, he was Principal Advisor in commercial and economic matters at RISC in Perth, providing support to Australian and international clients across a range of commercial topics including valuation, petroleum markets and investment. Before that, he had over four years as economics, business planning and strategy manager for SE Asia based in Singapore. He has worked for BG Group, BP and PwC/ADA and most recently Pearl Energy (Mubadala Petroleum). He has chaired and co-chaired multiple SPE ATWs in KL and Dubai on Reserves/Production Forecasting and also Economics, a 2003 meeting on Risk and Uncertainty and on the organising groups for 2014 Perth FLNG ATW and both 2016 and 2017 Economics ATWs in KL. In late 2013 he was on a panel session and also presented on LNG economics at APOGCE13 in Jakarta and at the SPE Unconventional Resource Conference in Brisbane.
