I've been at the collision point between tech and user experience (UX) design for the last 20 years, and I know the vital importance of not seeing the world solely through my own eyes.I'm obsessed with contributing in some way to these radical, new steps in augmented / mixed reality that we need to take to grab the attention of people and influence their behaviour change. It starts by going back to my UX design roots.Mixed reality companies need to do more than just place stunning, photorealistic 3D objects into the real world. We need to critique our own XR experiences for longevity and engagement levels, and ask the kind of hard questions that results in quality user advocation.As a result we have developed in an internal manifesto at Handbuilt that has spawned a new generation of mixed reality experiences currently in development. These new creations are based heavily on how end-users actually want to interact with spatial computing - and aims to give them a next-gen, 'killer app' mixed reality experience that has never been seen before.It's our job to brainstorm the hard stuff and come up with the engaging ideas that solve major pain points, and convert every user into a fanatical brand advocate - in order to spread the word.So why not check out some of our mixed reality videos below, and explore whether they have the same effect on you?
