Dr David Kim is a board certified emergency physician (FRCPC and ABEM) who completed his specialty training in Emergency Medicine through the Royal College residency program at the University of British Columbia based at the Vancouver General Hospital. David also has subspecialty training in Aerospace Medicine from King’s College London, the Royal Air Force, and the European Space Agency. He received his MD from UBC, MSc in Aerospace Medicine from King’s College London, and Diploma in Aviation Medicine (DAvMed) from the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine. As a recipient of the BC Community Achievement Award and Doctor's of BC Changemaker Award, David is also a passionate community leader. He has interests in healthcare innovation, medical technologies, philanthropy, impact investing, and aerospace medicine.David has significant experience in leading and executing within various sectors as the founder and director of various NPOs, companies, and charities. David has also invented and patented multiple medical devices and is part of a biomedical startup company. David is always looking for innovative solutions for today's problems.
