As a new hire, I was the first product manager brought into to transform the Device OS group into a product lead organization. During my tenure, I had the opportunity to work on multiple v1 products taking them from ideation and proof of concept, to detailed MLP (minimal lovable product) requirements to full scale development and GTM strategy. ➜ Key Responsibilities and Wins:* Bring sight to Alexa - I took the lead in writing a business plan and strategy for a product that solves common problems within a smart home resulting in ramping up a 120 person team that makes smart homes simple and intuitive to use while providing provide low latent, secure, and private interactions with Alexa. Our headless edge based compute device was tucked out of sight yet capable of running Alexa at the edge, CV models capable of detecting person \ known person \ pet \ packages\ vehicles, and storing voice \ video \ data locally. This program launched as the Ring Pro Alarm Base Station which included local CV processing, local video storage, and integration with ONVIF cameras.* Reimagine Application Developer Experience - Product owner for the next generation of application development for Amazon Devices including no code and low code solutions which allow developers to create single applications capable of running on FireTV, Auto, Echo, and Fire Tablet devices.* Manage Amazon Device OS Incubator - Designed the process for submitting and evaluating idea submission from +800 world wide team members within the Device OS group resulting in review and approval by Amazon leadership. First year included evaluation of +300 concepts, resulting in 7 active programs.

With the support of the COO, I rebooted TiVo’s global innovation program (#InnovationByTivo), which enables every employee to be part of the company’s innovation engine. I also lead the Product Innovation Group, an incubator that fleshes out ideas that fall outside the lines of current business and supports business unit leaders in exploring paths towards something new.➜ Key Wins: Within one year, the team evaluated 850 +ideas, completed 12 prototypes and launched two new product offerings across TiVo’s four core business units. I also invented, built the strategy and currently served as product lead for TiVo’s next gen TV platform, TiVo Stream -- and directed many additional product innovations.I am proud to have earned TiVo’s 2018 20/20 Award, which recognizes innovation that enables TiVo to become the undisputed industry leader. The award was given for my work in executing the company’s GameSkip initiative.

Working cross-functionally, I delivered product releases to TiVo developers and partners, while managing feature set, budget and resources. ➜ Key Wins:In partnership with executive leadership, I drove 50%+ subscriber growth in less than two years, an achievement that generated a revenue increase of $20M+. I also influenced the market success of international operators through the launch of several global innovations, including TiVo’s first network DVR and next generation UI with Vodaphone in Spain.

I joined this video on demand internet startup that aimed to revolutionize the television industry by empowering the consumer to view the programming and advertising of their choice. Here, I was accountable for both internal engineering project schedules and all external customer programs. ➜ Key Wins:I created an MPEG-4 HD wireless set top box and motion sensing remote, taking the project from concept to mass production start in four months, and co-developed a quick start program that allowed MSOs (multiple system operators) to quickly deploy the ZillionTV system within their high-speed data networks.

I joined Thomson APAC (company later part of Technicolor) and moved to Singapore for the role. In January 2008, I returned to the states and managed the company’s U.S. and LATAM markets. In each market, my job was to build strategies and lead teams that drove new business from concept to specifications and product deployment. ➜ Key Wins: I landed two new APAC clients within eight months, expanding Thomson’s satellite business and growing regional booked revenue by $75M+ USD. I also launched TataSky’s first generation MPEG-2 SD platform, taking the project from kickoff to mass production in seven months.
