Direct the execution of ABB’s crane system modernization, medium voltage power system delivery, custom energy storage solutions, spare parts and field service engineering support within the Americas region through a team of 18 engineers and staff. Lead continuous improvement efforts to significantly improve forecast accuracy, reduce costs, and eliminate sources of errors. As the Head of Global Engineering, Technical Support and Execution for APM Terminals I provide leadership with full accountability for the engineering, standardization, and maintenance of globally diverse terminals with over $6.1B in cranes and additional equipment.My teams have updated machine specifications and reduced failure rates resulting in a consistent delivery of up to three times above operating costs in annual real cost savings and notably more in cost avoidance.I've directed teams to apply automation techniques to improve safety and productivity.In addition:►I successfully lead a team to develop and deliver standardized cranes and heavy equipment while maintaining low costs, enhancing safety features, sustaining continuous automation, and providing superior reporting for leadership. ►I collaborate with terminals, department leaders, and key suppliers to create advanced machine systems and processes. ►I facilitate project completion including commissioning, integration of automation, integration of IT data, safety procedures, project culmination, training, documentation, and warranty resolution. ►I oversee identification, evaluation, and purchasing of cranes and power equipment.

Directly responsible for the the profit and loss of the material handling business unit for GE and their joint venture TMEIC-GE [container crane drive systems and automation]. Develop global strategy including yearly operating and sales budgets, restoring the business unit to profitability. Lead 21 person U.S. sales and engineering teams as well as additional engineers and sales members located around the globe. Build team capabilities and skills to support future projects. Develop and deliver full automation & drive systems for the port crane industry.

Managed Global Sales Activities for the Material Handling Business (Container Crane Drive Systems and Automation). Managed activities of a globally diverse team consisting of sales and application engineers in multiple countries. Reviewed and approved proposals and negotiated international contracts. Increased orders margin by driving improved sourcing activities and pricing controls. Lead integration of the material handling business within the TM GE joint venture.
