This laboratory has conducted numerous and various projects in manual control, human decision-making, organizational design, organization adaptation, automated diagnostics, cyber deterrence, data analysis for identifying countries involved in nuclear smuggling, multitarget-multisensor tracking, battery diagnostics, and multi-criterion path planning. Current foci include big data analytics, UAV path planning algorithms, man-machine mixed-initiative collaborative planning/approximate dynamic programming for counter-drug trafficking, multi-criterion path planning, uncertainty management, and proactive decision support systems.

• Formulated a multi-objective path planning algorithm for ship routing in a dynamic environment both via approximate dynamic programming and robust optimization• Aided in integration and stability modifications of counter-smuggling asset allocation tool for Navy systems (Red Hat) both on NIPRNet and SIPRNet• Converted FORTRAN and C++ code to Python for ease of integration in later-developed multi-objective path planning software for both ships and helicopters

Under the guidance of Professor John E. Ayers. Heteroepitaxial growth of mismatched semiconductors; characterization of epitaxial structures, and defect engineering in heteroepitaxial materials.

• Served as summer primary project advisor for studies on generator distribution & refrigerator power usage• Created apartment and apartment complex electrical demand calculation templates and forms for general use by the company
