As the Director representing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados on this regional board, I also serve as its Treasurer.

The International Assembly of the ACCA provides advice to Council on the basis of feedback from members across the globe, and utilising knowledge of the locations that ACCA members currently live and work in.

Prestige RSH Institute Inc. is a joint venture between Prestige Accounting Inc. and the RSH Institute Inc. based in St. Lucia. We will be providing accounting and finance training under the branding of our Prestige brand, with a specific focus on ACCA, FIA, CFA and other certifications relevant to the St. Lucian and Eastern Caribbean markets.

Having ended my role as President of the Institute, I have been re-elected to the Council and nominated as its Alternate Director on the regional board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean.

Created by an Act of Parliament in 1974, ICAB key objectives are: 1. to promote, foster and maintain the highest standards of accounting in public practice, the public service and commercial and industrial spheres;2. to safeguard and enhance the professional standing, interest andreputation of accountants who are members thereof and areemployed in the spheres specified above; 3. to maintain the highest standards of professional etiquette and ethics amongst its members and encourage the observance of such standards among non-members;4. to express its views to the Government, public authorities, commissions of enquiry and similar bodies regarding matters affecting its members and the profession.

The Small Business Association is a business support organisation for micro, small and medium sized enterprises. I have always held a keen interest in matters relating to small business and entrepreneurial issues. In addition to contributing at the level of the Association, I am keen to support those following in a path of business ownership as I have for the past 11 years. My role as Treasurer is to provide support and guidance on the financial systems and reporting of the organisation.

I was part of a team that set up the financial systems and controls for the organisation and executed them in relation to the mandate of the Commission.
