I am a technology and Fintech specialist with 20 years experience as a startup founder in Sydney and Silicon Valley, CTO, industry advisor and software engineer. I have had an extensive and varied career across financial services, superannuation and technology strategy. In 2020 as Group Lead for Superannuation and Insurance at Flare, I developed the 5 star rated Slate app for Android and iOS and launched their digital group life insurance product to market. I was also an early advisor to the ground-breaking crypto lending platform compound.finance.As CTO of GrowthOps I undertook the pre-IPO technical due diligence on three acquisition targets while leading a team of over 65 technology specialists across APAC. I also successfully completed the integration of five tech businesses, launched a Sitecore business with a $2m run-rate and delivered $13m of annual revenue in 2019.In 2016 I co-founded Spaceship, a future-focussed superannuation fund investing in emerging technologies. There I built the core platform, led the initial funding round raising $1.6m and attracted the financial backing of among others Mike Cannon-Brookes and Simon Clausen. As of Q3 FY21 Spaceship holds over $825m in assets under management and the business itself was recently valued at $100m.As a full-stack developer and consultant to boutique rapid development consultancy 3wks, I have built and delivered bespoke digital solutions across the financial services, transport, education, government, media, mining and resource sectors. Notable projects include delivery of a mobile payments platform in partnership with Ingenico and Xero, Newscorp’s news API, an award winning NDIS assistant app, a parliamentary questions app for the Victorian government and Monash University’s Intranet. Relocating to Silicon Valley in 2011 I co-founded Chorus.ai, an email AI conversation intelligence cloud platform for sales teams. This venture was accepted into the inaugural Startmate batch and 500 Startups also counting Scott Farquhar as a key early investor.In 2019 I achieved the Google Developer Expert qualification and have previously held Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services Architect certifications.
