My name is David Slyusarchuk and I am currently studying finance at the Kelley School of Business. I went to high school at Pine Crest School and I received a very well rounded education. This education allowed me to delve deep into mainstream industries and helped me find my interest in finance. My first work experience came from an internship at A&D Mortgage. In this internship, I learned all of the basics about mortgages and mortgage rates. Not only did I learn the basics of the mortgage industry, I also learned some hard skills involving excel and coding. My job here was to find out the different rates that our competitors offer in order to have a better price. My next work experience was at Imperial Fund. During this internship, I learned all about bonds and how they are sold and bought. For this job, I had to utilize many of my previously learned skills like with excel and coding. I researched other banks and companies that buy and sell bonds to see what they offer for them and how we can adjust our bond offerings. These work experiences gave me a glimpse into the financial world and really peaked my interest. Because of this I would like to continue my experience by working or interning in a financial industry that invloves mortgages or bonds.
