CurrentThe NEIC Transition Year Work Placement and Mentoring programme is part of a strategic government initiative for Dublin's North East Inner City to oversee the long-term social and economic regeneration of the area.It aims to provide equality of opportunity to students in six DEIS secondary schools based in the inner-city, giving them a chance to experience career paths they may not otherwise have known about due to their socio-economic background, and providing a pathway to pursuing these careers in the future.I am responsible for building and developing relationships with organisations in various sectors, creating opportunities for students through the facilitation of quality work placements and one-to-one mentoring with professionals from a variety of industry backgrounds.If you or your organisation might be interested in participating, I would be delighted to schedule a time to talk and hopefully get you involved in this fantastic initiative!
