In this role, I manage the annual budget, 5-year budget, and monthly forecasting process to set guidance, goals, and business needs. I review forecasts monthly with department VP’s and Executives to align spending with corporate strategic objectives and drive growth. I create monthly reporting presentations for Executives highlighting variances, issues, and successes to help determine strategy and areas for improvement. I lead debt management responsibilities, monitor covenant compliance, and prepare related calculations and certificates in accordance with debt agreements. I direct all cash positioning and management activities, including building and maintaining 24-month rolling cash forecast, manage daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation, bank reporting, and bank platform administration.

As the Director of Finance, I sat on the Board of Directors for Ashton Companies, and reported directly to the CEO. I managed and directed the accounting staff and led the accounting components of all 4 companies of the Ashton family. I provided strategic oversight and leadership to the finance operations by standardizing processes, projecting cash flow, reviewing contracts, and developing meticulous financial planning and analysis reports consisting of budgets, forecasts, and analytics. I aligned financial strategy comprising technical accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems administration with broad business vision.

In this role, I delivered strategic oversight and leadership of finance operations, directly reporting to and advising the COO, aligned financial strategy with overall corporate vision. I advanced accounting and report alignment across 25 divisions comprising +$50M in revenue. To this end, I tirelessly established standardization and improved controls for a start-up company and fostered a dynamic culture of excellence, integrity, and transparency. Among other notable achievements, I maintained 0.4% expense to forecast and 0.03% expense to budget for 2018 and was instrumental in acquiring 14 business units and propelling year-over-year revenue 460%, and organic revenue 180%.

As Accounting Manager for Fusion Imaging, I provided strategic leadership to high-achieving accounting staff. As well, I authored comprehensive accounting principles, best practices, and departmental procedures. Together, we integrated efficiencies to streamline and optimize the month-end close process through accrual entries, depreciation, revenue recognition, expense, reconciliations, invoicing, and receivable aging analysis. Further, we were able to secure and archived sales and use tax records, tax returns, and other required reports for 30 states. To this end, we ensured regulatory compliance while concurrently managing dozens of tiered regulations.

In this dual role with Agel, I built customized reports and analytics to align with comprehensive business planning, forecasting, and budgeting processing. I spearheaded the launch of critical merchant accounts, bank accounts, vendor accounts, business licenses, corporate credit cards, and more. Furthering HR strategy, I developed and expanded the HR database to optimize and manage all employee records and files. As well, I enhanced the administration of payroll processing and employee benefit programs while driving policy implementations.

As Legal Assistant for The Law Office of R. Bradley Neff, P.C., I managed the activities of the accounts receivable department by investigating delinquent accounts, drafting collection letters, calling customers, and preparing standardized reports on credit and collection status. I prepared legal arguments, pleadings, proof of claims, and motions to be filed with the court. I regularly obtained affidavits, subpoenas, judgments, liens, wage garnishments, bench warrants, and assisted in the litigation and prosecution of civil cases. I was responsible for administering training courses for new hire employees.
