The primary skill sets that I use on a regular basis to deliver projects for customers include:• Ability to work with customers: to listen to their needs, to document their current systems and desires, and to plan for solutions that will fit into their workflows• Software development skills: knowledge of software development methodologies for capturing requirements, writing specifications, and crafting solutions in a variety of languages, on a variety of platforms• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its practices; chemistry workflows, especially in the analytical chemistry laboratories; and general laboratory workflow understandingI've spent the bulk of my career using these skills to work with customers to document their workflows and create solutions that add additional workflows or make the current workflows higher quality or more efficient.The primary languages that I've worked with in my career are Java, C, C#, PHP, TCL, and Perl. I've also worked with SQL in the context of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases. I've worked extensively in both the Windows and Linux environments, but have worked with Solaris and other Unix flavors in the past.I have a history of innovative work: creating solutions to difficult problems by finding paths to success that require cross-disciplinary skills and out-of-the-box thinking about how to make the final system work well for the customer.
