Following a successful career with Diageo, I joined the world of executive coaching in early 2001 eventually becoming head of Whitehead Mann’s Leadership Development business before creating my own practice in 2007, coaching senior executives and working with Boards on organisational strategy and general team development.In 2011, I co-founded the School for CEOs with Patrick Macdonald, bringing new and innovative executive education programmes to market. I merged my coaching business with the School for CEOs in June 2017, following periods of rapid growth for both organisations.I was invited to become Non-Executive Chairman of AM Bid Services in March 2017 - another fast growing organisation, focussing on providing bid support to organisations across all sectors.I am a former Scotland rugby captain with 44 caps. My career highlights include 3 test caps for the victorious British Lions in Australia in 1989, captaining Scotland to a famous Grand Slam in 1990 and to the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup in 1991. My media experience includes writing columns for daily and Sunday newspapers and providing commentary on BBC, ITV, BskyB and Eurosport, including 4 Rugby World Cups.I have held a number of non-executive positions including as a board member of sportscotland and of Quality Meat Scotland and at Kilchoman Distillery Company.In 2015 I co-authored "21st Century Networking - How to Become a Natural Networker"
