Business: Railways.I worked as a member of VLI´s engineering staff and I was responsible for equipment (new and for reformation) with a budget about 150 million USD, to be installed on greenfield and brownfield projects in several workshops all over Brazil for locomotives and wagons, for maintenance of their rolling stocks fleet. All activities to comply the needs for equipment like cranes, wheelset presses, hauling vehicles, drop tables, lapping machines, boring machines, lathes, brake systems, etc. Also visits in Europe (Italy).- Elaborating the technical documentation package as well as analysing technical proposals from manufacturers to provide the best recommendation. Belocal, Lhoist Group: Project Coordinator. October / 2013 to May / 2015. Business: Mining of lime and production of limestone in Limeira unity, Arcos city, Minas Gerais state. (Link)At this role I was in charge for projects to expand, improve or restore installations into the plant in operation, establishing premises, specifying equipment, providing technical and commercial analysis, composing and managing budgets, contracts, civil construction, electromechanical assembly and commissioning. Also, I had to execute the planning, decide equipment purchases, labour contracting for erection and assembly, mobilization of own team, control the costs and the project schedule. Technically, I had to provide arrangement studies, estimate multidisciplinary budgets, elaborate of proposals about installation of receiving, storage and production of milk of lime in customers’ factories (sugar and alcohol, Anglo American, Usiminas, Dow, Fibria, etc.). In operation on site, I was key member to promote meetings with the production and maintenance departments to identify needs and for improvement possibilities. My multidisciplinary team was formed by ten professionals (engineers and technicians).

November/2010 (senior mechanical engineer) to September/2013 (engineering coordinator) Business: Mining of iron ore.Initially as senior engineer I analysed all technical documentation from the contracted companies and supervised the development of the mechanical sector in projects for installations already in operation as well as evaluating more suppliers to be included in the “vendor list” as option for the company. After my promotion to coordinator I was the engineer leader to conduct the new projects on large scale for extraction and beneficiation plants of iron ore with a staff composed by fifteen professionals (engineers and technicians) involving all areas. Following is the breakdown of the main portfolio (Serra Azul project, budget of five billion USD):1. Beneficiation plant to produce 29 million tons per year of pellet feed, with big capacity equipment as crushers, mills, screens, flotation and columns cells, GEHO pumps, thickeners, belt conveyors, compressors, pumps.2. Concentrate pipeline to pump iron ore from the beneficiation plant to the filtering plant.3. Filtering plant where concentrated slurry iron ore is processed by the ceramic disc filters.4. Terminal railway: where filtered iron ore is handled by stackers and reclaimers, after it is expedited to the wagon loading system that is mainly composed by a modern and complex package of equipment monitoring and controlling the level of product being filled and polymer application at the end to avoid loss of material. There was a complex interface with the existing railway installation to increase productivity and prevent accidents. 5. Tailing pipeline to pump from the beneficiation plant up to the dam.6. Water capitation to bring water to the beneficiation plant.7. Common to all projects:- Preparation of technical documents to compose de Environment Impacts Study.- Visits in Canada and Europe (Holland and Spain) to follow up projects and manufacturing.

Business: Engineering and consultant for mining projects.I was responsible to elaborate all mechanical technical documentation about beneficiation plants, also coordinating internally the development in projects to bauxite, gold, copper, iron ore, potassium chloride and zinc (companies like Vale, Alunorte, Votorantim, Yamana Gold). Furthermore, I analysed technical proposal from suppliers including reports with best recommendation. I also was in charge to carry out visits in supplier’s factories to follow-up, inspect and report issues. I led a team composed by eight professionals (engineers and designers) who helped me to develop beneficiation plant layouts, elaborate steel plate works drawings and ensuring multidisciplinary interfaces. To finish, I was a team member during the implementation of the project Usina Hidrometalúrgica de Carajás (Canaã dos Carajás, estado do Pará), following up the construction for one year and helping eith solutions at the site.
