David is now the Managing Director of Clarity SF. David Speiser is the founder of DRSmedia, a strategic marketing and media relations firm based in Silicon Valley. David has been engaged in technology marketing, PR and media relations for more than a decade. His focus is on media relations in the consumer technology space, and strategic marketing for consumer technology products and services. David works with technology writers, television reporters, producers and analysts in the technology blogging world, mainstream press, traditional print media, television journalists and more.His work in technology began in 2005, as the first employee at Sticky Inc., a software company focused on removable devices (like USB flash drives). In 2007 Sticky was acquired by Splashtop Inc., developers of an instant-on OS. At Splashtop, David became the director of marketing and PR, and helped launch the Splashtop software.In 2008 David transitioned into full time strategic marketing and media relations work as a founding employee at Stage Two, a marketing firm based in San Francisco. At Stage Two he helped launch dozens of companies and products, and been directly responsible for press coverage in publications ranging from the New York Times to CNN to NPR and the Wall Street Journal.In June of 2010 David started his own marketing and PR agency, DRSmedia.He enjoys the outdoors, playing soccer, and woodworking. He also plays the guitar, though with more enthusiasm than skill. David is an avid reader with an interest in sci-fi, fantasy, alternative history and historical fiction. Some authors he’s passionate about today include S.M. Stirling, John Scalzi, George R. R. Martin, Jim Butcher and Bernard Cornwell.
