Previously a "full stack" person in a small organisation, doing everything from front-end development through server-side business logic, application and database design, down to network infrastructure & services in a mixed MS & Linux environment, security, supporting production, and even being involved in client requirements analysis. In more recent times I've started specialising much more in the direction of database development & administration and related areas in both my day job and private learning. My current main project is migrating legacy hosted products into Azure SQL, modifying them either where there are incompatibilities to address or where there are opportunities to use newly available features to offer useful improvements in performance, HA/DR, and cost effectiveness.I still like to keep in touch with the other areas though, particularly app and infrastructure security, client-side matters and related concerns with the network between. To that end I try to keep up to date with these areas and there are a collection "personal project" ideas which are slowly being followed through to implementation as other commitments permit, to practise using the things I would otherwise just read about then forget.
Listed skills include Database Design, Sql, Microsoft Sql Server, Jquery, and 23 others.
