After AITrackRecord's change of ownership (we are no longer part of the AI group) and relaunch as Trailight, I continue to operate as the lead developer of the "classic" TrackRecord product, still with the intention of moving to a more database development-/administration- centric role as the company develops.Work on the "classic" product includes new enhancements, ongoing support, training/mentoring more junior members of the team, and aiding the BA, PM & other departments as needed. TrackRecord provides training and competence recording and monitoring, including flexible KPI analysis, to companies in regulated sectors. It is currently in use by some of the UK's larger financial services organisations.My experience with the product and its users is often requested to help guide the shape of our more modern products and services.

For most of my time at MS2M/AITrackRecord I have been responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:* Customer requirements analysis* Database design & optimisation* Code design and implementation from database to client-side and the layers between* Data and networking infrastructure including backups, VPN arrangements, mail & web servicesThe databases, code, and support structures produced served significant clients in regulated industries (i.e. investment banks) helping them manage their regulatory and internal T&C and Risk Management responsibilities.As the Access Intelligence group has come together and grown over the last year or so my role has become a little less general with a view to officially moving towards a more specialised DBA and BI centric role in the not too distant future, though I expect to be supporting the legacy applications for some time as well as helping design/develop their upgrades/replacements.While I am moving in the direction of specialising in database areas, my recent work has continued to be varied and has included temporary secondment to another team where I helped gain significant performance improvements in the application through database layer optimisations, improving the security in some legacy web applications (identifying issues through code review and UI/workflow inspection), and helping define enhancements to achieve a client's new monitoring and reporting needs in a cost and time effective manner.
