DNG UK Ltd designs, builds, tests and assists in the production of specialist switch mode power supplies for a range of industries predominantly laser diodes, laser, flash lamp industry and robotics.We have an international customer base and as MD, managing customer relationships is crucial often involving overseas travel. I am still very hands-on in the manufacturing process overseeing the team of 5 staff, and hold overall responsibility for the design, production, test, documentation and purchasing within the business. Since taking over in Sept 2014 the IT systems have been fully overhauled. My interest in engineering pushes me to continually research the latest technologies in electronics and innovate in the solutions we offer. Over the last 25 years I have had numerous roles: * Test engineer including all test documentation and fault finding to the component level* Purchasing Manager* Set up the MRP system* Customer Liaison* Worked to BS5750 and ISO9000 standards* Lead trainer* Workshop Manager* CAD Designer

During this time I worked for myself as a management consultant selling diagnostic studies to entrepreneurs and MDs, and as a sales engineer and site sergeant in charge of staff and sites.

Repair and servicing of Rapier air defence system to box, board and component level. Instructor for on-the-job training. Research and development of safety firing unit project relating to new test equipment design.
