As the leader of the Internal Communications organization, I was responsible for the global internal comms strategies — including the annual content roadmap, communications policies, cascade of organizational messaging, and partnering with the broader People & Culture org on HR-focused campaigns. My team was also responsible for our company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) program, owns employer branding, co-owned external social, and managed all internal communication channels (SharePoint Intranet Hubs, Actimo App, digital and physical signage, newsletters, email campaigns, etc.) Additionally, I served as a strategic partner to the Executive Team, and supported the annual Global Leadership Meeting and bi-annual CEO Global Address; as well as planned, ad-hoc, and emergency global, regional, and site communications.

Overseeing one direct and two dotted line reports across multiple functional areas, my scope of work included broad marketing and branding strategies, internal and external communications, media relations, event support, and content creation (internal trainings, external presentations, webinars, BOD materials, and video production). In addition to my core role, I regularly crafted and/or refined various communications and strategies, and led project management and internal/external partner management duties on behalf of the Chief Business Officer.

I supported three teams at Microsoft: US AI Country Plan, M365 Security Product Marketing, and WW Compete. I led an initiative to unify and redesign numerous key internal and external presentation decks, maturity models, and one-pagers to tell the AI story; managed various M365 projects, including dual-ownership of the M365 Security editorial calendar; and coordinated and ran a number of global high-output meetings with internal stakeholders of various seniority levels on the Compete Team.
