Management of the Planning and Technical department which includes structural, mechanical and chemical engineers, 3D designers, laboratory staff, data scientists, process control and process logic specialists.Responsible for the strategic planning of and developing an agile team of professionals and suppliers who are able to deliver the long-term priorities of the company while being able to support the day to day mine operations and project delivery requirements.Constant communication and engagement of all stakeholders, from daily engagement of executive management through to mine plant operators in order to deliver projects and drive change.Key projects:• Calciner upgrade: a fully automated facility that includes robotic drum handing and the use of deep learning algorithms to automatically detect potential faults with drums.• Trunkline upgrade: 12.5km dual 400mm HDPE trunkline with booster stations and an automatic leak detection and isolation system.• Ongoing rollout of wellfields including the development of smaller, modularised mechanical and electrical skid units that can be re-deployed simply and a lower cost.• Private 4G network rollout with integration to IOT control & reporting

FIFO project management and design drafting while working with Engineering, site personnel, external consultants and suppliers to develop and deliver process plant upgrade projects.Responsible for the early identification, critical evaluation and roll out of new technologies on a remote mine site environment.Key projects:• Drone (large multirotor and VTOL-Vertical Take Off and Land) roll out and development of autonomous capture and photogrammetry processing workflows to develop centimeter accurate 3D models without survey points from aerial data capture.• Terrestrial LiDAR (laser scanning) and feature recognition systems for rapid generation of millimeter accurate 3D models of plant infrastructure.• 3D CAD modelling of brownfield structural and mechanical items and the management of on-site/off-site fabrication, installation & commissioning.• Mechanical, civil and structural layouts, P&IDs, PFDs, HAZOPs, piping isos, feasibilities, job pack creation. Management and review of work by internal and external staff.• Implementation of non-destructive inspection of HDPE pipework through the use of ToFD (Time of Flight Diffraction) scanning to allow identification of faults in pipework without the need for shut downs.• Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality visualization tools to significantly improve all user’s understanding and interpretation of 3D models before committing to final designs and fabrication.

3D and 2D layouts of processing plant infrastructure.Development of containerised pilot plant modules for shipping to remote African mine sites.Development of and checking of PFDs, P&IDs and mechanical and civil layouts.Greenfield mechanical and structural design, detailed civil works, bulk earthworks development.

Brownfield civil, structural and mechanical design.Involvement in projects from preliminary quote through to final commissioning and handover.Development of ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) and ITRs (Inspection Test Reports) for site support.Development of SolidWorks standard modeling methodologies and part libraries to drive design efficiency.

Management of designs from initial quote through early concepts to final design and product launch.Primary contact for customers such as Toyota, Holden, Ford, Volvo, Chrysler, Ford, Isuzu and Mitsubishi.Local management of design and tool trials in China, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan.

Development of automotive designs from initial styling model to a finished production ready design.

Design of high volume products from initial market requests through to final launch.Process improvement support for local tooling and production facilities.

Design of injection mould tooling.Creation of product visualization renderings and animations.
