Working with an amazing team of designers, engineers, and researchers to build Microsoft Loop: a new app to help teams think, plan, and create together. I'm responsible for the end-to-end user experience of Loop.

Organize monthly lunches, game nights, and the annual holiday party for the 1,200-member Washington chapter. Help manage all global GLEAM chapters and membership requests. Mentor multiple early-in-career employees and interns. Elected by GLEAM members to worldwide board position.

Helped grow a research FPGA programming language with two developers into a funded program having impact across Microsoft. Lead strategy, product design, project management, customer development, documentation, and executive briefings. Code written with this language accelerates networking in every Azure server, and it’s in-use by multiple Azure engineering teams and strategic customers for other hardware acceleration projects.

Co-led an engineering crew of eight engineers, plus contributed to the broader Azure Monitor organization.Twice initiated year-long strategic projects:1. Creating a converged Azure Monitor product from App Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Alerts, and other monitoring tools. This shipped at Ignite 2018 to a strongly positive customer response. Personally led the design and customer development of the Azure Monitor for Resource Groups feature, and collaborated with a dozen others to create the UI and information architecture of Azure Monitor all-up.2. Adding user behavior analytics features to App Insights. Led the design and customer development for the Users, Sessions, Events, User Flows, Cohorts, Retention, Funnels, and Impact features. Shipped at Build 2017 with weekly evolution and new features afterwards.Partnered with one of the largest Azure (Monitor) customers to support their monitoring modernization journey. Met weekly with this customer for more than a year to answer questions and learn from their progress, in partnership with the Azure customer success team.Designed and shipped Application Insights and HockeyApp features for Visual Studio.Contributed to the overall effectiveness and cohesion of the Azure Monitor team. Frequently shared new conceptual frameworks for monitoring to encourage better team organization and more efficient product design. Led-by-example in using telemetry to make decisions, creating shared dashboards of objectives and key results, and sharing the monthly progress of my crew.

Secured continued investment in Visual F# in the .NET Core era. Led Visual F# strategy, open source community engagement, and customer development. Organized Seattle F# meetups and presented at three conferences in the US and UK. Drove the initial delivery of .NET Core debugging in Visual Studio Code in 2016.

Designed new features in the Console of the F12 Developer tools in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. Evangelized the F12 Tools to web developers through online videos. Contributed to Apache Cordova mobile development tools in Visual Studio.

Led a Raikes School Design Studio team tasked with reimagining indoor hospital navigation for patients and family. Guided the team in using a patient-centered design process, rapidly prototyping hundreds of ideas, and testing them on simulated hospital patients.

Designed and shipped the initial features in Visual Studio to support the TypeScript programming language.

Developed the geometry engine for a research architecture software system in F#.

Helped design how .NET metadata and reflection APIs interact with .NET Native.

Developed product management web application to categorize, collect, organize, and leverage information on 80,000 high-performance automotive products. Designed web application interface in collaboration with end-users to maximize their productivity. Interfaced with legacy software infrastructure. Evaluated content distribution networks to improve performance of the Speedway online store.

Developed CRM web application to collect and leverage customer feedback. Collaborated with team and client using agile development methodologies. Selected by Raikes School faculty as a freshman for this unique opportunity to work with juniors and seniors.
